Obituary

William "Bill" Jordan, 95, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. A native of Waynesville, North Carolina, Bill had been a Poquoson resident for many years and was a dedicated member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Bill served his country during WWII in the Marine Corps and after the war reenlisted with the Army 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and crabbing in the local waters.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Lillian Carmen Jordan, Bill is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Joyce Jordan; daughter, Sandra Parsons (Mark); grandchildren, Devon and Chloe Parsons; beloved sister-in-law, Carolyn Graham, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19th at Emmaus Baptist Church with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peninsula Food Bank or the Community Mission Fund at Emmaus Baptist Church.
