William "Bill" Louis Rodal

William “Bill” Louis Rodal, 89, of Poquoson, VA, passed away on July 19th, 2022, from end stage dementia. Bill was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 20th, 1933. He graduated from The Indiana University School of Business with a degree in accounting in 1956. After graduation Bill served as a Radio Intercept Officer in the U.S Army from 1956 to 1962. After he resigned his commission, he went to work for Tenneco Corporation, the parent company of Newport News Shipbuilding. Bill was a senior accountant at the time of his retirement in 1993. Bill was a long time resident of Poquoson, and loved the water, sailing and spending time with his family on the Chesapeake Bay and on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Bill is survived by his wife Margaret Burrows-Pegg Rodal; his four children, Lars Rodal, Alex Myers (Scott), John Rodal (Candy), Rachel Couteret (Rick); 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his brothers, Richard Rodal and David Rodal, and sister, Joyce Caveny.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Ruth Sharpe Rodal.

Services and internment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
